For Immediate Release October 2, 2008 San Juan Symphony to Present “Where Giants Dare to Tread” to Kickoff 2008-09 Season Durango, CO – The San Juan Symphony will kickoff its ambitious 2008-09 Symphonic Visions season on Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 pm at Henderson Performance Hall in Farmington and Sunday, October 12 at 3 pm at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College when music director Arthur Post leads the ensemble in Where Giants Dare to Tread. Highlights of the lofty program will be Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, as well as Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 61 and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 in C Minor. The program will spotlight internationally acclaimed violin soloist Celeste Golden.
